The Coming of Our King
Greetings in Christ!
As we approach Christmas we want to take this opportunity to send a note of encouragement to you:
What a wonderful time of year it is as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! For centuries, lives have been changed one by one through the powerful grace and mercy He offers to those who will simply accept what He did on the cross over 2,000 years ago.
When Jesus first came on the scene in human form He was fully God! While we as human beings find it difficult to wrap our minds around that idea, the conception and birth of Jesus to the virgin Mary were truly miraculous and without precedent, and of course will never happen again!
When one considers the weakness and frailty of humanity at the moment of birth, it is quite difficult to imagine the Master and Creator of the Universe in such a way, but indeed this was the case. He cried when He was hungry like any other child and burped after He was fed. He played with other children during the many years of growing up prior to His ministry. Oh, but there was something different about Him because He was the Savior of the World.
We live in a world of tremendous challenge for the Christian. Presently, our brothers and sisters around the world are going through unprecedented persecution; we have seen that in our lifetime. This world continues to look for some “leader” to step up and make a difference by bringing the peace we need.
We continue to be reminded that Jesus Christ is going to come again and THIS time things will be far different! No longer will He be that little child in swaddling clothes lying in a manger; He will be our conquering King riding on a white horse for all the world to see.
We want to encourage you today to read “the end of the book” once again. We win! While that may seem like a small consolation right now, one day it will be profound and meaningful beyond measure or comprehension.
1 Corinthians 2:8-9:
⁸ “Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
⁹ But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
Jesus is coming again! Let’s be ready!
Blessings in Christ,
