Thank You Choir for the Christmas Music

Greetings in Christ!
We wanted to take this opportunity to thank our choir for the Christmas musical that was presented under the direction of Associate Pastor Richard Bump during this Christmas Season.

We must say that it was far more than just beautiful melody and harmony sung by gifted people whose voices were more than up to the task. Truly, the songs were songs of ministry accompanied by a precious anointing of the Holy Spirit. We believe the anointing makes all the difference as lives are touched in a far deeper way than any music or lyrics can do.

Yes, there were many practices involved along the way as choir members learned their parts, but isn’t there something exciting about finally “getting it” that way so that people can “get it” spiritually as the cantata  is presented? While the spoken word is wonderful, there is something powerful about singing joyfully of the coming of Christ to earth over 2,000 years ago.

Psalm 98: 1-7

“1 O sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him.
2 The Lord has made known His salvation; He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations.
3 He has remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; break forth and sing for joy and sing praises.
5 Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody.
6 With trumpets and the sound of the horn shout joyfully before the King, the Lord.
7 Let the sea roar and all it contains, the world and those who dwell in it.”

All praise and honor goes to the Lord for gifting His people with the talent and willingness to sing, but rest assured, your sacrifice of time and resources to bless the congregation has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated!

Blessings in Christ,
